Barbara Eugênia: "Tuda", an always seductive evolution

Always seductive in her interpretations, without a desire to distinguish herself at all costs from her Paulistana colleagues, my two years away from Brazil, (due to a certain weariness of the "always the same sound"), I would not have blamed Barbara Eugênia. On the contrary, his career remains unique, always close to the cultural agitator Tata Aeroplano. And I keep in memory a show at the Oi Futuro Ipanema (RJ) scoring, to which I must be one of my best photos. In fact, what would be in hindsight, a Super band, Dona Zica who saw a long time ago, get together three of the most talented female artists in Sao Paulo, with Barbara, Anélis Assumpçao and Iara Renno, was the beginning of this women’s junes would prove us. The beautiful 'Tuda' cover reveals a more electronic sound, supported by percussions that distinguish «Tuda» from the warmth of many productions of some kind («Querencia» with Iara Renno ), preceded by a funky duo with Zeca Baleiro («Bagunça»), and anticipating the delicious «Por la lua y por tierra», another duo with Onda Vaga. Never boring, the only reproach would be an abusive use of the reverberation that makes more robotic than Barbara’s voice (perhaps this is the desired goal), that we have known more «human» and feminine. But nothing that makes 'Tuda' out of current productions. Brilliant guitars walks on the whole album, by Tata Aeroplano, at least, I guess
